Mel Wetzel recently won the UVM CALS 3MT competition for MS students discussing her project on how Western diet and binge drinking impact cardiac function.
They presented to a group of industry professionals, scientists, government officials, and the public on their research into maple syrup and health
Corina's proposal, an extension of her dissertation work on studying the bioavailability of nutrients in alcohol waste products, was awarded the UVM Sustainable Campus Fund grant.
Each presented a poster, attended several interesting presentations, met fellow scientists, and explored Baltimore and Washington, DC.

Lab alumni Madison Wan presented on her research collected in the summer of 2024 in the RAMP Lab at two conferences.
Maddy won the competitive Woodworth Undergraduate Research Fellowship at UVM. This summer Maddy will study how alcohol and sucralose impact gut health.
